Day trip to Depoe Bay

Depoe Bay claims to have the world’s smallest navigable harbor. Charter fishing and whale-watching boats can be on the open sea in minutes.

In summer, about 60 gray wales reside off the Central Coast, with some of the Best viewing from Depoe Bay. But, today the weather was wet and the wales tend not to be in this area in November.

The depoe Bay Bridge is a single-span reinforced concrete deck arch bridge. This bridge is a good example of McCullough’s engineering and artistic design. When this bridge was built in 1927 it was skinnier. It was doubled in size on the seaward side in 1940.
