Fort William Historical Park

This morning we toured Fort William  with a 1and 1/2 hour guided tour of the large fur trading fort. This Park is a re-creation of the North West Company’s impressive inland headquarters, named after Chief Director William McGillivray. The Fort is the hub of the Nor’Wester fur trade, allowing for the transfer of tons of furs and trade goods in one season, bringing together hundreds of fur traders for the annual Rendezvous. There are over 42 authentic, reconstructed buildings, including the artisan area, a working farm and Native Camp

Then we got on the road and traveled to Schreiber, Ontario to stop for the night.

Day 4 and Kakabeka Falls in Thunder Bay, Ontario

We had a short trip today and stopped at Happy Lake Park near Kakabeka Falls and Thunder Bay.

Then off for an evening driving tour of Thunder Bay.

Day 3 off to Ontario

The tail wind is great for mpg. We averaged 11.2 mpg with the first tank.

We made it to Davy Lake R and RV Campground in Ignace, Ontario.

Day 2 off to Winnipeg

We drove to Winnipeg with a tail wind and arrived in the daylight.

We took the ring road to the south east side of Winnipeg to Traveller’s RV Resort and Campground

We started the travel day at 11AM for Florida. The goal for the day is the Indian Head KOA just east of Regina. We arrived just before daylight ended.
