We started the day with grocery shopping at a local chain called Martin’s. As you can see the Amish have special parking at most of the businesses in town.
After lunch we went to Amish Acres to tour the grounds and tour a 1890’s Amish house.
The corn is tall around here.
Look at all the quilts for sale!
Most new Amish homes do not very much from this home.
First out building is the drying house.
Then the Oven. The Amish traditionally bake bread once a week.
And the smoke house.
Entering the old part of the house.
Then a tour of the weekly cloth wash area.
Kitchen
Living room
And the barn.
Then we bought tickets for the play in the old round red barn.
The play was very well done!
