Day in Morden, Manitoba

Today we explore Morden, Manitoba. The main claim to fame in this town is the ‘Canadian Fossil Discovery Centre.

80 million years ago much of Manitoba was covered by the Western Interior Seaway and was home to a wide  variety of Marine animal life. Fossil of these animals are found in the Morden area.

Most of the fossils are found from the Bentonite Mining in the area.

‘Bruce’ is a Mosasaur.

Then off for a tour of Morden First is the 1904 courthouse that is still in use today.
