Trip to Bryce Canyon

We left Kanab, Utah for the short trip to Bryce Canyon. We landed on a long weekend and even the tourism office was closed ( Very well painted).

 

We hoped to get permission the hike the Wave but that office was closed as well. You have to apply for the 8:30 am lottery the day before. They only issue 20 permits each day by lottery.

We entered highway 12 and within 5 miles we reached Red Canyon

Then off to Bryce Canyon

Bryce canyon is way up on a high plateau.

On the way back to the campsite we spot DEER.

We camped at Bryce Canyon National Park Campground. No water, no electricity BUT we can have a fire. This is the first fire in 3 months.
