The day started with the flag raising at sunrise.
The weather was perfect and balloons are everywhere.
Old planes and ultra lights competed for airspace.
Then a walk along the park on the island
In the afternoon we took the scooter to Parker Dam.
Parker Dam was completed in 1938. The dam is 320 feet in height, the crest length is 856 feet. The power house has 4 30,000 KVA generators powered by the 78 foot head of water.
Lake Havasu is created by this dam. The Lake is 45 miles long and 1 mile wide storing 619,400 acre feet of water.
That evening we went to the night glow but again it was too windy for the balloons, so just the candles.
