Today we went to Casa Grande North Mountain Picnic Park. We all chipped in 3 dollars a couple and I lead the convoy out to the park. Everyone brought a side dish and we eat like kings on side dishes. The hot dogs are ok.
Steve turned 62 today. This is just the dessert table
Then we got all smoky.
We all had a good time, food and fire and friendship.
On the block that we take Blue to has an outdoor covered picnic area, a swimming pool and the post boxes for our area and the laundry area we use.
Today Blue and I came through an unusually decorated covered picnic area. The things us old guys will do!
On Tuesdays at Palm Creek is carving club meetings. This is what we do at carving.

Dove update: the bird is still nesting in the bike carrier.
The weather forecast for today was high winds rain and a high temperature in the 50’s F. Unfortunately the forecasters are correct. About 2 AM the wind start to rage to the extent that I am outside putting all the awning away. Out at 2:05 AM in the wind and back in the motorhome at 2:11 AM.
So what to do on a windy cold day?
Afternoon snooze with Blue sounds good!
About 4 PM I got some energy and Teri and I went looking for some legs on Teri’s craft mosaic project. Home Depot had a plant stand that fits the bill. The dog is tasting the new addition to our home on wheels and Teri is calling Blue by his second name ‘NO’.

Yesterday Gil and Jean Gramlich found our site about sunset last night to invite us over to site 51 tomorrow for a visit here in the park. Gil and Jean have a house up at Surprise, Az and are visiting family here in the park. At 1:30 we went over to Site 51 on the DARK SIDE of the Park. ( NO PET Area). We visited with Gil and Jean and Gil’s relatives for a few hours then we had to get back to walk our little Blue.
At 4 PM we had our own St. Patrick Day Party. Corned Beef and Cabbage is the order of the day. We brought a side dish of apples, walnuts and cranberries in a cream cheese sauce.
I did not take a photo of the food table but the food was excellent and everyone brought too much food.
Today during afternoon snooze break, I took some photos of the entrance of Palm Creek.

Hole number 6 of the golf course is behind this statue. The pet section of the park is to the left at this statue.
Blue still is trying to run with the big boys. Blue does NOT understand ball throw but does understand chase the running dogs.
This is the dove nesting time at the park. Doves sometimes pick the most unusual nesting sights such as the basket of a bicycle.
Successfully hatched one of the two eggs.
We will update this nesting dove in the weeks to come.
There is no reason to be board at Palm Creek. This morning I went to carvers club. My next project may be a boot.
IN the afternoon we went to the pool and then this evening Teri had her last Mosaic class.
Every two hours Blue of course has his meet and greet walk. The pet section has the friendliest people. Blue does NOT have any manors and jumps up and licks anyone that shows any interest. Blue is slowly learning that not all dogs want to play with a puppy.
